Surabhi Saraf is an
artist and composer

whose immersive work weaves together sound, movement, video, animation, and live performance to blur the boundaries between self and other, body and Earth, and spirit and technology. Drawing from Hindustani musical traditions and experimental composition, her practice transforms listening into a portal for connection, healing, and kinmaking. Through participatory installations and performances, Saraf creates multisensory experiences that entangle emotions, histories, and speculative futures.

She has had solo shows at Honor Fraser Gallery, Galerie Mirchandani + Steinruecke, and Hosfelt Gallery. A recipient of the Eureka Fellowship and residencies at Pioneer Works and HarvestWorks, her videos have been screened at Times Square, the Blanton Museum, and the Hunter Museum. She has performed at the Thessaloniki Biennale, San Francisco Electronic Music Festival, and NETMAGE 10. Her collaborative projects have been presented at SFMOMA, the Asian Art Museum, and the Crow Museum of Asian Art among others. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
